Luz Medina was appointed as global CHRO for SAM in October 2021 to drive the execution of SAM’s global HR strategy.

She joined Santander Asset Management in 2012 as Human Resources Director, becoming deputy to the global head of Human Resources and SAM Spain head of HR in 2014. She was also appointed as head of HR for SAM Europe in 2020.

She joined Santander Group in 1997 and worked in human resources as HRBP for such business areas as Santander Cards, CIB, Corporate Banking and Santander Consumer Finance. In 2009, she was appointed head of Human Resources in the Global Insurance & Direct Banking Division.

Luz holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Madrid Complutense University and completed a specialization program in Human Resources at Centro de Estudios Garrigues.
